Cristóbal Rovira Kaltwasser is a Chilean political scientist. Rovira has published various books on modern Latin American right-wing politics including "Rethinking the Latin American Right" and "The Populist Radical Right and the Pandemic".[1] He is director of "Ultra-Lab" (Laboratorio para el Estudio de la Ultraderecha) a research institute focusing on far-right politics.[2] Some of his work has been financed by Open Society Foundations.[3]
CNN Chile has characterized him as "one of the most influential academics in the study of elites, populism and far-right politics".[4]
