Los restos de este edificio pertenecen al lavadero. Comunicado directamente con la galería, es el lugar donde los restos de plata, blenda, pirita y cuarzo eran lavados y tratados. Los residuos (tóxicos) fueron arrojados al mar durante más de 30 años. Estos vertidos, autorizados por la administración pública hasta 1990, han formado en la bahía de Portman lo que se considera hoy el mayor desastre medioambiental de España y el Mediterráneo. |
