Deutsch: Südsüdostansicht des Schlosses Wilhelminenberg auf dem Gallitzinberg im 16. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Ottakring.
Um 1780 kaufte der russische Botschafter, Demetrius Fürst Gallitzin, das Areal, nach dem auch der Berg benannt wurde. Darauf befand sich auch ein Sommerschloss bzw. ließ er dieses errichten. Nachdem das Sommerschloss in den Besitz von Moritz Fürst Montléart kam (um 1865), schenkte er es seiner Gattin Wilhelmine, geborene Fitzgerald. Auch den Berg hätte er gerne in Wilhelminenberg umbenannt, jedoch dies verweigerte ihm die Stadtverwaltung und daher schilderte er nur sein Anwesen als Wilhelminenberg aus. 1895 erbte Erzherzog Rainer von Fürstin Wilhelmine von Montléart deren Besitz auf dem Gallitzinberg. Dieser ließ das kleine baufällige Sommerschloss abtragen und errichtete von 1903 bis 1908 nach Plänen von Eduard von Frauenfeld und Ignaz Sowinsky ein repräsentatives Schlossː [1], [2].
