Notes

The original sculpture was cast stone, painted with a dark metallic bronze colour[1]; the statue was slated for removal and destruction due to deteriorating condition, when a 'public outcry' resulted in it being recast in bronze[2]; the actual, current material of the sculpture remains unclear, as some contemporary sources claim it is an "8-foot black cement sculpture on 4-foot concrete pedestal"[3]

de:Die ursprüngliche Skulptur bestand aus Steinguss, der mit einer dunklen, metallischen Bronzefarbe bemalt war[1]; die Statue sollte wegen ihres schlechten Zustands entfernt und zerstört werden, als ein "öffentlicher Aufschrei" dazu führte, dass sie in Bronze neu gegossen wurde[2]; das tatsächliche, aktuelle Material der Skulptur bleibt unklar, da einige zeitgenössische Quellen behaupten, es handele sich um eine "8-Fuß-Skulptur aus schwarzem Zement auf einem 4-Fuß-Sockel aus Beton".
