Category:Archbishops and bishops of Lund

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The city of Lund in Scania was made a see in 1060, and an archdiocese in 1103. The archbishops of Lund were at the time primates of Denmark and the rest of Scandinavia. It reverted to the status of a regular diocese with the Protestant reformation. In 1658 Scania, including Lund, was ceded to Sweden together with the adjacent provinces of Blekinge and Halland.
