Khan was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. He is the child of Pakistani immigrant parents. He received his Honours Bachelors of Science with a specialization in Psychology (HBSc) from University of Toronto. He graduated from University of Ottawa in 2015 with a Doctor of Medicine. He completed his residency in the department of Family Medicine from McMaster University in 2017. He then received the Sports Medicine designation from the Ontario Medical Association in 2018.
