Just Cause is an upcoming television series for Prime Video starring Scarlett Johannson. It is an adaptation of the John Katzenbach 1992 novel of the same name.
Premise[edit]
A journalist reports on a prison inmate on death row after receiving a letter protesting his innocence.[1]

Production[edit]
In November 2022, it was reported that Scarlett Johansson would star and executive produce through These Pictures, along with Warner Brothers Television for Amazon Prime Video with Christy Hall adapting the 1992 novel Just Cause by John Katzenbach. These Pictures’ Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn are producers with Zara Duff overseeing the project.[2] Johansson had appeared as a ten year-old in the 1995 film adaptation of Just Cause starring Sean Connery and Lawrence Fishburne.[3]
In February 2024, Cord Jefferson and John Wells were reported to be co-writing episodes and executive producing the series.[4]
