Honchun Ngandam

Honchun Ngandam (born 1966) is an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh. He is a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He contested from the Pongchau-Wakka constituency in Longding district representing Bharatiya Janata Party[1][2][3] and won the 2024 Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election.[4][5] He also served as a Minister of Rural Works Department in Pema Khandu government earlier.

Early life and education[edit]

Ngandam hails from tribal community in Ponghau. Hecompleted his graduation.[6]

Career[edit]

Ngandam began his political journey with Indian National Congress in 2009. He won the 2009 Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election and retained the Pongshau WAkka seat in 2014. Later, he shifted to BJP but won the seat again in 2019 elections.He won as MLA for the fourth time winning the 2024 Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election representing BJP.[7][6][8]
