Done Unsourced references to Army commandos have been replaced with a more general statement. SBC-YPR (talk) 12:12, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

External Reference

I was looking for a place to put an External Reference on the Wiki page fo the 26/11 attacks. Has an External Reference section been discussed already? It would be nice for editors to be able to link to articles/webpages about the attacks that aren't referenced in the Wiki article. Who is in charge of these decisions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Saberlotus (talkcontribs) 02:09, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Are there any such pages? This article seems to be pretty comprehensive as of now, and at the cost of sounding immodest, I don't think anything else anywhere else has come close. As to your second question – we all are! :-) SBC-YPR (talk) 12:15, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

What's the exact death toll?

Over the course of the past few days, the estimates of the dead have fluctuated wildly, between 164 and 195. I seem to have found a reliable source[2] which despite being a bit old, gives a clear break-up: a total of 192 dead (141 Indian civilians, 22 foreign nationals, 20 security forces, 9 terrorists). If anyone can get a link to an official website, or any place providing a more reliable estimate, please post it here before making any edits on the page. Regards, SBC-YPR (talk) 05:59, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Done The official death toll (civilians and security personnel) is 164. The official press release (statement by the Home Minister) can be viewed here[3]. SBC-YPR (talk) 06:28, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
I read 174 somewhere!? Don't remember the source... Damn it! --KnowledgeHegemony talk 16:26, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Photos uploaded

I've uploaded photos here:

Feel free to add them to the page.

I'd like to draw attention to this image (File:2008 Mumbai terror attacks Metro before firing 1.jpg) (I've accidently overwritten it with another image. This image was taken by me of the gathered journalists at Metro Cinema, minutes before they were fired upon. It was blurry because of the poor light conditions, so I headed back in disappointment. Some 10 mins later, people were running helter skelter and the firing took place. =Nichalp «Talk»= 14:35, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Confession of a Captured Terrorist

I've removed much of the content in this section as it already appears in the sub-article, and the purpose of this article is only to provide a summary and not to go into details (those are meant for the sub-articles). Can we have a consensus on this, please? Regards, SBC-YPR (talk) 09:05, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

reactions

I moved most of the content over to the sub-page. Please look over there as I restructured it somewhat. With this move, I think we have the article pretty much where it should be. I would try to find a way to move content from "Attacks" because it is a bit too long for a summary. That said I think the summary should have the same sub-headers etc. Thanks!--Cerejota (talk) 03:39, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Template:Navbox 2008 Mumbai attacks

I created a new navbox template, and will be placing it in the sub-article and site pages. I think its useful.
