Nationality[edit]

I believe the rationale laid out in these three edit summaries still stands. The Channel 4 News source states: "In 2016, Ana Diamond, an Iranian-EU dual national..." It later clarifies "In 2014, Ana Diamond, a 19 year old Finnish-Iranian dual national, touched down in Tehran." The only person that the source describes as a British national is Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe: "For more than seven months, Ms Diamond describes being kept in the same solitary confinement block as British-Iranian dual-national Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe." The Daily Telegraph source states "Ana-Diamond, who holds Iranian and Finnish citizenship but grew up in the UK, had travelled from London to Tehran with her parents for a family reunion in July, 2014." Neither source confirms British citizenship for Diamond. The article claims that Diamond has English paternal descent, but the Wikipedia article on British nationality law claims "At least one parent must be a British citizen otherwise than by descent" and sources do not state the citizenship status of Diamond's parents.
