External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Angola, Indiana. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

Origin of name?[edit]

My latest edit was reverted by User:John from Idegon for not being reliable. It was supposed to be about the town's origin, which claimed that it was named after Angola, New York. I'm now skeptical about the claim as I have found another site explaining the origins. It details that it is unknown how Angola got its name, with the story about the village in New York mentioned. But I'm not sure if THAT is reliable, as the site was made using Blogger. If anyone can help out here, you know that would be great. Evking22 (talk) 15:24, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just a suggestion...search Google Books for Origin of place names in Indiana. I'm betting there are multiple books on the subject. Other than websites belonging to newspapers or magazines, most web content is unreliable. John from Idegon (talk) 17:01, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
