The lead sentence here states that it is also known as the Valletta stampede in 1823. This may be in the title of one of the sources, but there's no redirect, or any need for one and a quick Google search of "Valletta carnival tragedy" give about 375,000 hits, while "Valletta stampede" gives only 225.
