Copy and Paste and Job[edit]

This article is just a copy and paste job from another article and has no independant validity. Colin4C (talk) 21:10, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly do you mean? I suggest you have a read of Wikipedia:Writing better articles, particularly the section about articles covering subtopics. There are appropriate templates directing the reader to and from the main article, so what "validity" would you like? Rockpocket 01:18, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Skibbereen 1847 by James Mahony.JPG[edit]

The image File:Skibbereen 1847 by James Mahony.JPG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Anti-Catholicism[edit]

In my opinion it is a shame that this article is not mentioned in the categories History_of_Roman_Catholicism_in_Britain and general Anti-Catholicism. Of course one may say that this is not a direct consequence of religious hatred, but aren't we all being very biased if we ignore that this historic tragedy would have never come to such a scale in a secular, democratic society? -- 92.231.41.28 (talk) 03:29, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
