The lead is for what's notable[edit]

If he also directs short films why shouldn't that be included in the first sentence when describing him in general? Just because he is more notable as an actor doesnt mean he isn't also a director and writer. isn't that misleading? User:Tinywhitechick (Talk)

The lead is for what's notable. His occupation is that of actor, per Talk:Cate Blanchett#Occupation. He is not well known for making two short films. Lots of shorts debut at festivals. Just that debut alone does not make his role in them notable enough for the lead or infobox here or their own article. Short films need to get more coverage in the media to get a WP article. Not the case here. But his two shorts are mentioned in the article body. - Gothicfilm (talk) 01:06, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Junoball: Wikipedia is quite careful to protect the privacy of its articles' subjects. In general we don't mention when somebody is dating somebody else unless it's a serious, long-term relationship, i.e. a life partnership. I don't believe this relationship fits that description, and more importantly, I have not seen any reliable sources that say that it does. Wikipedia articles should only ever include information about relationships that is based on reliable sources. Please see the Wikipedia policy on writing about living people for more information. Relationship[edit]

I've started a discussion as to whether the relationship between Jessup and Miles Heizer should be covered in Wikipedia at Talk:Miles Heizer#Relationship. Since the considerations for this article are identical I suggest that interested editors should contribute there. Best, Wham2001 (talk) 06:06, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
