Chris, I would suggest stating under the history section whether you are referring to the history of outdoor sculpture or the history of outdoor sculpture conservation. Also, there are a number of materials that outdoor sculptures are made of and it would be good to list the various mediums you wish to discuss, whether it is bronze, marble and other various stone, or steel etc... Additionally, environmental factors are a major contributor to a sculpture's deterioration and would suggest adding that somewhere in your list. Chris, your outline seems to hit on 4 key components but currently neglects what several areas that may be beneficial to the thorough nature of the project. I would include a brief definition of what outdoor sculpture entails since it can cover a wide array of forms from totem poles to large bronze works or massive marble figures. Following the definition, I would include a list of the materials commonly used (bronze, wood, granite, marble, etc.) and each section could have a reference to a famous work of that material. I think it would well with the section on corrosive elements and conservation. For your references, the Getty and the National Park Service are solid sources. Im my opinion this article is interesting but it mostly describes the conservation and restoration of comtemporay outdoor murals.
