Post photography does not seem to be a term used frequently in terms of Google. Elevated photography does seem common. Seems this should be merged.

Mast photography is a technique of Elevated photography.

Telescoping mast (or pole) are more accurate and common terms in this application. I don't ever recall hearing "post" being used. Also, the most common definition for "post" seems to be a synonym for "stake," both being wooden and short when compare to a "mast" or "pole." Of all the terms, telescoping "pole" seems to be the most common. Mast is almost an exclusively nautical term. (76.66.119.161) -peter
