Deletion[edit]

I don't think that the article about the prominent French scholar should be deleted without any discussion. Check google, this name gives plenty of hits, he is mentioned in a number of Wikipedia articles and even in Britannica. This article needs expansion, but not deletion. I tagged this article because the EB link you provided states: "No results were returned". From this perspective the links suggesting notability do not appear to be founded. However, under closer review and a google search, this article may be warranted, but I would suggest a different link. Tiggerjay 05:12, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your response. Yes, the EB does not have a dedicated article on this person, but Chantre is responsible for some important scientific discoveries, so I believe he is notable enough for a wiki article. Regards, Grandmaster 06:50, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
