The original image caption identified the image as being taken on the set of The Johnny Cash Show in 1977, which is impossible as the series ended in 1971. (And it wouldn't have been "the set" anyway it would have been the Ryman Auditorium.) Wynette did not look like this in 1970 when she did appear so this must have come from another production, perhaps one of Cash's annual Christmas specials? 68.146.52.234 (talk) 17:43, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This is actually a pretty good article, with the exception of the lede. Seems like rather than promotional terms and marriage failures, Jones' 77 top 10 singles and two Grammy Awards might be more appropriate.[1] The Tammy Wynette duets are probably notable enough for the lede, and perhaps close the section with the "No Show Jones" label. After a decent lede is written, the "references needed" banner could be changed to section banners, or inline. Some sections appear to be fairly well sourced. Anyway, not my genre, nor do I really know the history, but Jones deserves a better article than this. Anybody reading this talk page? 009o9 (talk) 07:23, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article does not even come close to B-class. In fact, there is so much unsourced content, noted in an August 2013 tag, that it is either time for a rewrite or a severe cutting of unsourced content. There has been an original research section tag (Comeback (1980–1990)) since March 2017. There is also a "This section does not cite any sources" tag (April 2023) in the "Influence beyond country music" section. Over seven years of tagging means there would be no "surprise" if the article was trimmed (like cutting down a large tree) back to "start" class. -- Otr500 (talk) 07:05, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
