Notability[edit]

Godspy has been covered in the Seattle Times, Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, New Jersey Record, just to name a few. A couple of those have now been included as sources (actually they were deleted along with the last version of the article due to editorial haste - I will reinsert them shortly). In fact, in the Houston Chronicle it was covered in a section called "New & Notable". The magazine features major writers who have achieved serious note in other areas of publishing, such as its editor Austen Ivereigh. It also has as theological advisor and contributior the internationally recognized theologian, scientist and author Lorenzo Albacete who is also a contributor to the Italian periodical Tempi, The New Yorker, Slate, and The New Republic and has been frequently interviewed in the major media, including on CNN, ABC Fox and on EWTN. (Now I'm just touching on a couple aspects of the notability of the publication and its writers...I could go on quite extensively).

As to advertising, it is nothing of the sort and is comparable to the article on Slate (magazine), which is a similar (but secular) type of publication. Mamalujo (talk) 21:58, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I had cited to the New Jersey Record and to the Houston Chronicle in the earlier version of the article, but the hasty editors deleted it, despite my "hang on" tag. I've readded some of the deleted material and will continue to do so.Mamalujo (talk) 22:16, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, online editions of newspapers usually only make the last week or two of the paper available. If you have access to Lexis/Nexis or a similar news database, it can be easily found. Otherwise, it will require a trip to the library. I assure you the cites are valid. And the first cite with the tag seeking a quote actually HAS a quote from the article.

I also did a search on the Dallas Morning News' site and although the article where they made it their site of the week wasn't accessable from their site, I did find it in their list of "sites of the week" here. Also, The Record is listed in my database and cited as the New Jersey Record, I believe its formal name may just be "The Record". I believe this is its site here. But like many papers you probably have to be a subscriber or pay to access its archives of older articles.Mamalujo (talk) 23:20, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
