Where's my 'Hans Wehr'[edit]

Given that many Arabic students and teachers accross the English-Speaking world (I can't speak for German students) refer to the dictionary itself as 'Hans Wehr' - "I hope you've all brought your Hans Wehrs to class today?" - with all due respect to Wher's biography on this page, short though it is, I have added a top link from this page for those who land on this page, like I did, looking for the much more extensive information provided in the article on the Dictionary of Modern Written Arabic by the same author. The Arabs[edit]

Why is the word "the Arabs" in quotation marks? Can someone explain the reason? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.75.135.34 (talk) 19:25, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
