Notability issues - merge articles?[edit]

This article is always going to be very short, and as well as that, it may be difficult to establish notability. Might it be an idea to merge it into the article on Lyndeborough, New Hampshire? There would always be a redirect left from here to there. Etrigan (talk) 13:59, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea--but with the info I just added on the cannon, it would look out of place on the Lyndeborough page (which doesn't have a lot of info on it right now). Eventually I'll try to put together a South Lyndeborough village page, and maybe it could go there instead? --Naturebunny1 —Preceding undated comment added 15:55, 16 June 2010 (UTC).
Another possibility is a page on Lyndeborough war memorials. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.97.203 (talk) 04:28, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose merge. It's fine where it is for now. I actually notice the opposite problem more often, where someone puts a lot of detail about one site of interest into the general town page, and it needs to be split off, so I commend Naturebunny1 for sticking to individual articles, which are well-written and researched, by the way. A South Lyndeborough village page would be a good solution when you get to it.--Ken Gallager (talk) 12:26, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have a lot of respect for the work Ken Gallager has done on New Hampshire-related articles, and I agree with what he says. (I'm also flattered by the compliment--thanks!) In fairness, Etrigan's suggestion came within seconds of the article's creation, when the article consisted of only one or two sentences. (Serves me right for not using the sandbox.) Eventually I can see merging this with an article on the South Lyndeborough village common OR Lyndeborough war memorials in general (currently there are only four including the cannon). For now, I guess I would prefer to stick with Ken's suggestion. Naturebunny1 (talk) 00:38, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm still not sure about notability, but the article's much better now. I'll strip the tags. Etrigan (talk) 07:44, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
