Copyright status?[edit]
What is the copyright status of the series? If Morison held the copyright, it won't expire until 2026. If the book is considered a work by a U.S. government employee, then it's always been in the public domain. Anyone know off-hand which is the case? 128.165.87.144 21:24, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Volume 5 is Copyright 1949 by Samuel Eliot Morison; I believe this is the case for the other volumes as well. MarkBernstein (talk) 16:02, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
