"The simplest possible stable hydrogen polyoxide (the parent molecule) is water, H2O"
But water is not a polyoxide, because it has only one oxygen atom. Is there a source which classifies so? Of the 4 sources listed, the first 2 do not mention single-oxygen molecules (monoxides) in their titles.
