Le Quien (Oriens Christianus) and Vh. Herbermann (Catholic Encyclopedia) consider as catholic (in the actual common sense) all the early christianity before 1054, buts it's a misuse of language : please see "Major groupings within Christianity" into Christianity, and History of Christianity.
