Attending the studio of Andre Lhote, where Dora Maar studies painting, crystallizes her desire to be an artist. In 1928, she photographs influenced by Georgio De Chirico and Robert Delaunay, published in Du Cinema (magazine). 1929-34 She works as a designer at various ateliers. in 1932-33, she teaches French in England and Greece. Works for the office of the Communist Party in Greece, expelled for insurrect behavior. Receives a copy of Andre Breton's The Communicating Vessels sent by cousin Andre Delons, ex-member of Grand Jeu. Assumes that one day she will meet Breton. Paris of 1934,she works at Le Coliseum as a nude underwater dancer at night, makes art during the day. Resumes friendship with Maar, now Picasso's mistress. Plans meeting Breton for March 29 at Cafe de la Place Blanche. Later moves into Breton's apartment on Rue Fontaine. August 13, marries Breton, with Eluard and Giacometti as witnesses. Joins Surrealist Movement, makes art using Surrealist techniques, participates in surrealist activities. In March of 1935, she travels to Prague with Breton, who presents a series of lectures; return via Zurich. April, travels with Breton to Canary Island and Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Breton lectures and opens Surrealist Exhibition. December 20, 1935, gives birth to Aube Solonge Breton, in Paris. 1936, travels with Breton to England for LondonInternational Surrealist Exhibition. 1937, In desparate financial straits, she and Breton mange new Gradiva Gallery, but their efforts fail."
