There are at least two problems with this article. In the first place, it refers to a "second" John Kendal, not the most famous John Kendal. That most famous John Kendal was Prior of the Order of the Knights of St John in England from 1489 till his death in 1501. The article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Docwra refers to THAT John Kendal, but includes an erroneous link to this article.

The second problem is that the portrait in the article is of this second John Kendal, Prior of England. This can be seen in this document from the Knights of St John. http://www.museumstjohn.org.uk/site_assets/downloads/February_Choice_Portrait_Medal_John_Kendal.doc — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.142.52.46 (talk) 06:46, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed the article and the source used for the material and I fully agree with both of these points. Someone has taken the National Biography of two different John Kendal(l)s and mashed them together. The medal pictured is NOT of the Kendal discussed (d. 1485) but of the John Kendall who d. ca. 1501. I will be making the necessary changes to try and make a differentiation clear. Conflation between John Kendal (d. 1485) and Sir John Kendall (d. ca. 1501)[edit]

I have removed the Niccolò di Forzore Spinelli medal photo from the article, which was made for Sir John Kendall (d. ca. 1501) who was a grand prior of the Knights Hospitaliers and not John Kendal, secretary to Richard III. The source named within the Article, the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (2009), names the second John Kendall and clearly mentions the medal that was cast for his service.
