I purchased "Incidents of Travel in Yucatan" Vols. 1 and 2 printed by Panorama Editorial from Mexico in 1995. I don't know if this book is still in print but it's a great resource.

Several editions of "...Central America..." and "...Yucatan" have been availible in print recently. The Dover editions are perhaps the most common, but I believe they've all been in print constantly for decades. "...Palestine..." I believe has also been in print. No doubt Amazon.com has information on what is currently availible. -- Infrogmation 03:15, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
Most of his stuff is freely available online now as a scanned book. -- Stbalbach 19:30, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Some of the editors of this page may be interested in improving Benjamin Moore Norman, closely linked to Stephens, bearing in mind that it is a rough translation from his Spanish article (please read the talkpage first). Please reply on my talkpage or Norman's for further questions. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 18:57, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

Possible vandalism?

"Stephens was actually able to buy the city of Copan for a sum of $50 and had dreams of floating it down the river and into museums in The United States." Seems vandalism.--Hanberke (talk) 08:15, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

Not vandalism. Stephens records the purchase in "Incidents of Travel in Central America... etc." von Hagen reports he later shipped 2 large stones from Kabah to NYC which were displayed on Cruger's Island in the Hudson and later purchased by the American Museum of Natural History (Catalog No: 30.0/ 4773) View at: https://anthro.amnh.org/anthropology/databases/common/image_dup.cfm?database=MIXDATA&catno=30%2E0%2F%204773 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.253.135.22 (talk) 14:53, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
