The sexigesimal name for the first year of Kennin was hanoto -tori,[1] which another way of identifying Shōji 2 (1201). --Ooperhoofd 17:34, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • 1201 — hanoto-tori = Kennin 1 or Shôji 3
  • 1202 — Mizunoe-inu = Kennin 2
  • 1203 — Mizunoto-i = Kennin 3
  • 1204 — Kinoe-ne = Kennin 4 or Genkyû 1 ...link to unreferenced table

Nitsida-no Yoshishige[edit]

At first, I could not understand the following sentence:

  • Kennin 2, in the 1st month (1202): Nitsida-no Yoshishige, the emperor's second cook, died. His court rank had been of the second rank of the fith class.[3]

Now I found the descriptions here intended to express as follows:

  • Nitsida-no Yoshishige: Nitta Yoshishige (新田義重)
  • second cook: Oh'i-no-suke(大炊助)
  • the second rank of the fith class:Ju-goi-no-ge(従五位下)
