I have done extensive research on the Keystone View Company, reading company publications and many of the remaining letters and various internal company documents. I've read newspaper articles, numerous reference books on the stereographic field, searched courthouse records, and even tracked down founder B.L. Singley's gravesite. Hopefully this major edit of the current Wikipedia article will be a useful reference source for all who seek information on the Keystone View Company. --Karenthewriter (talk) 19:00, 8 July 2008 (UTC) I have done a major update on the original article stub, and with the assistance of two kind Wikipedia helpers it is up and viewable. Hopefully I (or others) will be able to correct anything that causes the article to receive warning flags. After reading advice I solicited in the help sections, I have just removed the tags regarding: article may need cleaning up, introduction too short, and article may contain original research or unverified sources.

The article has been "cleaned up" and shortened on numerous occasions, and I believe I've removed all of the "human interest" parts and anything they may be considered slanting.

The introduction has been lengthened and, since it is a relatively short article, the present introduction should be sufficient.

As for original research - yes I have done research that no one else has done before, such as finding documents in the Crawford County Courthouse, contacting Allegheny College, and reading Keystone View Company correspondence. Originally I had a reference citation for about every other sentence, because I wanted people to know that I went to primary sources and had my facts straight. I had so many citations that more than half of the references "globbed together" in an unreadable mess, perhaps because I had too many, or perhaps because I'm not very skilled at doing web documents. The remaining 13 references (as of September, 2008) are in a readable form.

I want to remove the Coat Rack Article tag because I believe it is unfair, but I won't do so at this time. In my opinion, the article is not a "coat rack". --Karenthewriter (talk) 17:55, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
