1st question: Encrypting just Enhancement Layer[edit]

Could Mpeg5 Part2 = LC EVC facilitate broadcasting in non-encrypted SD FreeToAir, and encrypted paid Enhancement Layer in HD?

I hope someone could answer within the article.

2nd question: LossLess mode[edit]

Does it have LossLess mode?

I hope someone could answer within the article.

11th reference: Clarification that was needed:[edit]

Previously according to reference number 11:[1]

rethinkresearch.biz/articles/lcevc-celebrates-final-draft-standard-now-convince-people-works/

(I do not know how to call/write it propelly)

Mpeg-5 Part 2 / LC EVC have gotten Final Draft.

Now that is fully official according to Official Website:

lcevc.org

(Today that is Sunday 8th XI 2020, however on official Site, it is written that Final Standardization took place in October 2020, just as reference was pointing out.)

Number of Enhancement Layers[edit]

Is there any Limitation to Enhancement Layers?

Could there be used 4 Enhancements Layers:

SD, HD, 4K UHD and 8K???

If that could be independently encrypted (different payment levels for: HD, 4K UHD and 8K) or FTA: that would be very useful feature for TV broadcast worth mentioning within article, if somebody could elaborate on question. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.187.202.138 (talk) 02:17, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Could Enhancement Layer be encoded in better video codec?[edit]

Could Enhancement Layer be encoded in better video codec?

For example base codec:

H265 = HEVC = mpegH content in SD resolution

Enhancement Layer demands:

H266 = VVC = MPEGi codec in order for receiver / player being able to decode HD resolution? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.187.202.138 (talk) 13:17, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OSD Text Language Change[edit]

Can Mpeg-5 part 2 = LC EVC be used to change On Screen / On Frame Texts?

I do not know if that feature was originally meant as Mpeg-5 part 2 LC EVC encoder feature.

But since Enhancement Layer could be taught as separate from source, and can make some big changes.

I suppose it could change Texts and other parts - other pixels of video from one to another.

That would be huge difference for example for broadcasting multi language information channels or public or private channels for regions with more than one official channels.

Because adding additional information (for example Text) from additional bitRate to the transmitted video stream does not need to increase frame rates or resolution.

I suppose Mpeg-5 LC EVC can be used to change certain things in image.

There is a lot of TV station that prefer to broadcast separate video stream for separate language.

Something like euronews, or other news or religious channels can broadcast in a lot of languages.

But placing and paying for each separate video stream leads to a lot of excessive energy consumption / carbon footprint emission.

But it has advantage that all Texts On Screen, all info bars, all information banners can be scrolled in different language.

I suppose there is no need to change decoder of LC EVC in order to achieve such decoding / reception capabilities.

There is only need for separate mode of encoder.

So my question to be aswered within article is:

Does LC EVC encoder already has such mode?

Because a lot of international TV stations, and multi language Public or Private Broadcasters could save up a lot of band and money or increase quality using increased single bitRate with small additional LC EVC layer of additional localized Textual information in additional languages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.187.202.138 (talk) 11:03, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Vandal[edit]

He/She does not read, and delete work of many addition at once or almost at once:

User:ULI47

I have right to and I will remain anonymous user,

But this Vandal User needs to be restrained, or deleted.

He deletes even internal Links altogether with external Links.

I suppose and wish Wiki Engine should have function of detection such users whose overwhelming contributions are just mere deletions.

Because deletion is such a Lazy task.

Especially if someone have trouble with vast amount of text reading.

What is wrong with:

(Oh my God, Vandals deleted also:

§ scalable video coding standalone article and § scalable video coding Section.)

Broadcast:

The Brazilian SBTVD Forum will adopt MPEG-5 LCEVC in its future broadcast television system, TV 3.0, expected to launch in 2024. A base layer encoded with VVC (H.266) will be used for broadcast and broadband delivery.

Why not mention / Why not making mental Link/Conection that also AV1 ans QS-VVC with Joint Layer Reference have Scalable functionality!

See also Section does not need to contain Clickable Links, and just only terms and names to search outside of wiki scope.

I also am convinced that Linking to Scalable parts of specification of AV1 or H266/VVC is much more useful and meaningful than just linking to other Video Coding codecs and technologies without any special categorization. 46.187.207.145 (talk) 18:39, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
