Lagrange's lemma or Lagrange's group theorem states that a group G, a subgroup H of G and a subgroup K of H satisfy the relation (G:K)=(G:H)(H:K) connecting the cardinality of the groups and subgroups.Eric W. Lagrange's theorem states that the order [h ] of any subgroup of a group G must be a divisor of [g ], the order of G. Brews ohare (talk) 19:01, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the line about "Lagrange's identity as applied to the central binomial coefficient and random walks" as there's no such article. Each entry should have one link only, to the article on the topic or sometimes one mentioning it. If it's not mentioned anywhere then it should not be listed. Also entries should have just enough description so readers can tell which article they want (so no explanation, refs), and should be formatted consistently. See MOS:DAB#Individual entries for details.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 15:00, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
