Expand[edit]

Shame there is so little written about his life and works. I would like to ask someone who is familiar with his work to kindly expand this article. Nick Knight's book 'Li Da and Marxist Philosophy in China' (1998, Westview Press) should be used as a secondary source as it contains information on almost all of his works. He was a very clear and influential writer as far as I can tell and deserves a longer wikipedia article dedicated to him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.54.53.75 (talk) 18:55, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have added some of the basics from Knight. There is much more to add from Knight that I will get to at a later date.
I have scoured the web for more English sources but alas other than Knight and some very questionable sources there is little out there. I concur he is an essential figure to Chinese Marxism as an ideological conduit.
As a next step, translating from the Chinese article on him may help, but even there has little else beyond what Knight's text already has. It's possible to use some of the references that Knight himself uses, although I have my reservations about how useful that may be.
I think that, if future editors come across this article, what would help is searching for Chinese sources on Li Da and referencing those, because the English sources are minimal (at least when I am writing this). The Madness of Joanna (talk) 18:10, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
