Usage in Economics[edit]

The term 'Liquidationist' is also used as pejorative term in economics to describe someone who opposes any action to stop companies going bankrupt during recessions. This needs to be included somewhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by M-Henry (talkcontribs) 01:25, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative Definitions of the Same Word[edit]

There are two topics here, Marxist Liquidationism and Austrian School Liquidationism, they could hardly be more unrelated. I'm not sure how notable either is, but I'd suggest either making some sort of split article+disambiguation for the term or referring only to one. Perhaps a "for other topics..." that sends people to a subsection of an article related to Austrian economics with a subsection discussing liquidationism - if no such section exists I further question its notability for inclusion on wikipedia. I doubt there is much traffic here but I would like a second opinion on it before I mutilate the article. I'm watching the page.--Ollyoxenfree (talk) 00:38, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

First appearance of the term[edit]

The Wiktionary makes the claim that the term has been "first attested in 1919," yet it appears in many manuscriprts written and published by Lenin in the first decade of the 20th century, e.g. in this. -The Gnome (talk) 08:52, 3 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
