This section has issues, which could possibly be alleviated easily. What the references cite is entirely unclear: if these are cleaned up we could see what they are intended to verify. In a nutshell, they need to be references to secondary sources that establish that the supposed notable theories are in fact notable, not references to Stout's own work.
