Untitled[edit]

This article is a loose translation of the biography printed on the back flap of Spallanzani's Ceramiche alla Corte dei Medici nel Cinquecento (1994). I created it because when I tried to find information on him (both through Wikipedia and Google) I came up entirely dry, and Spallanzani is the foremost authority on Medici porcelain. It wasn't until months later that I managed to actually get my hands on his book and figure out who he actually is. There is a reference to him in the Medici Porcelain article citations - I will try to link it, if I can figure out how, but am never very good at these things, and so would love some help!!

Also, there were two things that I had a little trouble translating: ricercate suppellettil which I translated as "much sought after furnishings," and presso which I translated as "by" [presso i Medici e le maggiori familglie... = "by the Medici and the most important families"]. If anyone would like to tweak these word choices, that would be great - my research on the terms came up inconclusive! Thanks, Isocephaly (talk) 17:47, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
