I'll review this article soon, I'm looking forward to it. Albacore (talk) 18:25, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • On Flickr there is a photo of Wareing, published under the Creative Commons 2.0 non-commercial. The uploader is active and it wouldn't hurt to ask if he would be willing to publish it under a Wikipedia-friendly license.
  • A few "He"s in the lead could be changed to Wareing for variety.
  • The "fued" in the lead could be given a clearer context, I don't follow it, and what is meant by "work directly"?
  • The last sentence of the lead is confusing, it lead me to believe that Great British Menu was Ramsay-based; a reword would be nice.
  • I've reworded the lead a little and changed the structuring at the end - also removed the reference to "shows" as the old version of the article said that he also appeared on the follow-up Beyond Boiling Point but I couldn't find a reference for it. Through "Early Life" Albacore (talk) 00:33, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Michelin star as head chef whilst at L’Oranger.[5] Whilst at the... too much "whilst"
  • I've got a nasty habit of overusing certain words - I've knocked the usage of Whilst from five occasions down to three - can probably knock it down to two, but then I'm at risk of saying "while" too much instead. Miyagawa (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • The two worked together to open Pétrus in 1999... which two?
  • Following a fall out between Ramsay and A-Z Restaurants if there is more information more context of the "fallout" would be appreciated.
  • Turns out you were right on the ball here - the fallout was in fact over Wareing's contract. I've added a cite, and also slightly modified the line saying Wareing quit L'Oranger as I've also found citations saying he was sacked and so I've changed it to simply that he left the restaurant. Miyagawa (talk) 19:26, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • serve his take on old Grill Room classics such as steak and kidney pudding and potted shrimps... perhaps give an earlier mention of the cuisine of the Grill Room for context here
  • He also opened his take on an American diner at The Savoy called Banquette, not sure the "Banquette" link goes where you want it to
  • I removed the link, to be honest I'm a bit of a michelin star groupie and before working on this even I had never heard of Banquette, so I figure there probably can't be enough coverage to show it was notable enough for an article. Miyagawa (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tatler Restaurant Awards' Tatler should be in italics
  • In 2009 Wareing was named by magazine GQ italics needed GQ
  • Done - realised that Harden's should have been in italics too. Miyagawa (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • birthday banquet which was on 17 June 2006.[5][1] switch refs, not sure banquet should be linked
References
  • Ref 15 needs a space for the subscription required
  • Refs 14, 30 could use the template
  • Done. Never knew that template existed before this! Miyagawa (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not comfortable passing this as a GA with the amount of references to tabloids, especially with how heavily reference 2 is used throughout the article. Could you explain to me how these should be reliable? Albacore (talk) 16:34, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well Ref 2 is mainly an expanded interview piece despite the rather outlandish title of the article. The Daily Mail based pieces are pretty much either publicity pieces for Wareing or interviews. Where I've needed to cover subjects of a bit more of the discerning nature, I've tried to steer away from the Mail because well... it's a comic book for grumpy old men really. In my mind at least the Telegraph has a little more standing and tends to run with less tabloid-esque features and so I tried to keep more to that, The Independent and Caterer and Hotelkeeper (which is an industry print magazine). The only time I use a cite from the Mail regarding the fued between Ramsay and Wareing was for a quote and to say that Ramsay was best man at Wareing's wedding - which admittedly I have a second cite for but as it's from the Daily Mirror I figured I was better off with two tabloids saying the same thing rather than just one. Miyagawa (talk) 17:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oooh - I haven't done the A-Z Restaurant thing, I'll have a search tonight and add it to the article and post a note here when its done. Miyagawa (talk) 17:47, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reference 10 can be used for the best man cite, cutting the Daily Mirror and a reference to the Daily Mail out of things. It also sources the half sad bastard quote. Albacore (talk) 19:03, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think I've covered everything now, and I'll add the image should permission come through. Miyagawa (talk) 19:56, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • this could be used to add information about Brian and replace the tabloid reference.
  • this could replace tabloid reference 32
  • this could replace the Daily Mail reference to the kids in the personal life section
  • "Marcus lives in a multi-million pound house with his family near Wandsworth Common,[2]", the Daily Mail reference should be replaced by the WSJ reference.
  • Finding that other reliable references back up what is said in the tabloids I'm content enough to leave the other references alone. I'll pass when these are replaced. Albacore (talk) 20:37, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
