elegiacally[edit]
What does 'elegiacally' mean in the first paragraph? Normally I would think it meant "in the manner of elegy [in the modern sense], mourning"; in a Roman context, I wonder whether it means "forms of the name used for metrical reasons in elegy," which also doesn't seem to be the case.
