Spanish Indignados and Israeli Summer[edit]
You can tell that the occupy events are hot on everyone´s mind now, because all the Wikipedia articles about it are really long and most need work because they´re so disjointed. This one too. I condensed the lead, but I´m not sure what the "Spanish Indignados" and "Israeli Summer" are. Someone took the time to link them to a new article without explaining what they are in the least. I wrote on this page to try and stop what has since happened. The action of a guardian here in deleting my post wan't helpful. My action was not one of "self promotion", I was merely pointing out that there were many disjointed resources, and we should try to write something that to NZ Occupiers as a group had worked on together. Too late now.

- The article is crazy long, and has details that would probably only appear in a scholarly thesis on the subject as appendices, not in the body of the text (eg full text of Safer Spaces Policy). I also question the NPOV given the heavy focus on the Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland) camp. I was involved in these protests, and I agree those involved are not the best people to write about them for an encyclopedia. But what we could do is gather a list of secondary sources that discuss the kiwi Occupy camps (newspaper and magazine articles, archived news footage, scholarly publications, and so on), which others could use to improve (or completely rewrite) the article for Wikipedia. A linked list of newspaper articles and other media reports on the Occupy camps in Aotearoa (NZ) was compiled by volunteers from Occupy Wellington.[1] The list also includes a separate section with links to articles on major events at Occupy camps in other countries, and the Occupy movements in general.
