Coins and such?[edit]
Isn't there an image of those coins thought to depict Ogmios on Commons? What about some of the non-classical depictions of Hercules on Gallic reliefs? I may need to do some hunting around... Q·L·1968 ☿ 05:25, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- I had another idea about an illustration. Ogmios can appear in Renaissance-era woodcuts in emblem books as an image of the power of eloquence. Alciato Emblem 181 is an example. I'll try to find a good example in the public domain. Q·L·1968 ☿ 22:58, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Variant spelling[edit]
Is there a source for the variant spelling Ogimius? I haven’t seen this elsewhere – is it a variant spelling from a manuscript of Lucian? If nobody can come up with a source, I think I’ll remove it... Q·L·1968 ☿ 22:52, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- There are quite a few results on Google Books for "Ogimius". Does look like it might have been a variant spelling. --YodinT 01:11, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
