Merger proposal[edit]

I propose merging Premiership of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with Presidency of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to form a new page called Turkey under Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I think the content in the page on his premiership can also work well with the page on his presidency, much like how both Vladimir Putin's premiership and presidency are in one page, Russia under Vladimir Putin. Oppose, on the grounds that the current structure works well for readers, and the premiership and presidency have different roles/responsibilities. The Putin analogy is a good point, but I note that that article is actually an umbrella article for daughter articles like Vladimir Putin's First Cabinet. While Recep Tayyip Erdoğan doesn't need such an over-arching article, it is work keeping separate premiership and presidency articles, much as for other politicians we might have 1st cabinet, 2nd cabinet etc. Klbrain (talk) 21:59, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, with no merge, given the uncontested objection with no support and stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 13:59, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
