Hey, I just made this page. Most of this content is from the French counterpart of this page. I feel that a differant page must be dedicated to the museum, while this page must be mainly about the historic city. Feel free to do something about this, but please make sure we don't lose information. I've put a lot of time in this. Thanks.DistributorScientiae (talk) 11:03, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lead image[edit]

I removed the lead image as I'm quite confident that there is no basis for claiming the wall in that image is part of the palace. I've explained as much in this edit summary. Scholarly sources are very clear: historic Raqqada is only an archeological site today, not even fully excavated, and there is nothing of the old city still standing (and nothing reconstructed either to my knowledge). No source other than the image uploader's own words claims this or any other standing wall today is part of the former palaces, so this just seems to be WP:OR from the uploader. If you believe I'm wrong, please explain here, preferably with reliable sources. R Prazeres (talk) 05:27, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've added an image instead from this set of photos of a large water basin mentioned explicitly in sources (see Arnold 2017, p. 9; also clearly identifiable in Google Earth imagery of the site). R Prazeres (talk) 19:25, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
