Yeah, I realize the only reference is a blog. But it is of the blog of the award itself. This award is the most important literary award given in the independent publisher category in Canada and one of the most important period. Google to verify. I'll add some new references, but they are all second hand, which is why I chose the blog to begin with. The second hand references are from pre-imminent literary publications and large mainstream newspapers such as the Globe and Mail, Quill and Quire, etc. Some of Canada's most distinguished writers have won this award, including three of the authors mentioned in the entry. The founder of the award is the winner of a dozen international prizes, has been translated into fifteen languages and is a highly respected writer world wide. I highly doubt he'd mind me copying text meant for redistribution into the entry, but I'll contact him to be sure.

I'll add new references. But the claim of lack of notability is easily refuted on-line. It's a very notable award, and should have had an entry on here long ago.

You need to read WP:RS, which explains the problems with primary sources. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 02:20, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My bad. Added secondary sources from notable publications. Thanks for the feedback.

No worries. WP has a pretty steep learning curve. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 02:57, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
