Notability of Red Mango

A tag has been placed on Red Mango requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Threeonezero 04:16, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Competition

I believe this page should stay because it's a major competitor to Pinkberry. Please don't delete this page.

...not to add it's the original chain in which Young Lee (found of Pinkberry) got his idea to bring here?

Agreed. I am surprised that an article on Red Mango contains no mention of its primary American progeny/competitor, despite Pinkberry's status as a cultural icon and Genericized trademark for the type of frozen yogurt pioneered by Red Mango.24.19.37.181 (talk) 01:06, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Mango.jpg

Image:Mango.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Red Mango is not a US company...

... but you wouldn't think it from this article.

The first Red Mango was opened in Korea in 2002. It has operations all over the world, from Seoul to Manila to Dubai.

Hope someone can make the article better reflect the company. Hypnotist uk (talk) 15:47, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Agreed. I just tagged the page accordingly and replaced the official link for the US operations with the one for the overall company. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:54, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
Now I'm thinking that it would make sense for someone who wanted to create at least a stub for the international company to move this article to Red Mango (United States) or Red Mango USA and then create the stub at this location, pointing to the USA article. —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:01, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
I made the move happen, to this location, the name "Red Mango, Inc." distinguishing the U.S. subsidiary. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:12, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
