Merge discussion: From: Salisbury Catholic Parish SA[edit]

If is proposed that Salisbury Catholic Parish SA be merged into the parishes section of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide as the content is more suited fro editing and placing the the Archdiocese article. Feedback is welcome. Rangasyd (talk) 15:32, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not yet archbishop[edit]

O'Regan is not yet the archbishop. This means it is inappropriate to place his name in lists of archbishops and the infobox and the succession box. It is appropriate to describe his current appointment in the article prose with citations. Infoboxes are compact and concise; they are designed for current at-a-glance information. It muddies the waters if we attempt to make them a catch-all for every manner of eventuality. WP:CRYSTAL says we should not speculate on future events. The installation of a bishop is equivalent to the inauguration of an American president. Between November's election and January's inauguration, the outgoing President remains the President.
