Name of the article[edit]

User:Rangasyd started the article as Saint Sophia Cathedral, Sydney and subsequently renamed (moved) it to Saint Sophia's Cathedral, Sydney. I suggest the original name was better. The Cathedral isn't dedicated to a person called Saint Sophia, it is dedicated to Holy Wisdom, like the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. "Saint Sophia" is from Sancta Sophia, which is a Latinisation of the Koine Greek Hagia Sophia, meaning Holy Wisdom. Please see the first sentence in the Hagia Sophia article. @Frans Fowler: It's not about the "...original name was better..." The policy of naming English articles in Wikipedia is conveyed at WP:NATURALNESS; that is, using a name that most readers/editors will commonly recognise. Most Christian and Orthodox churches are dedicated to a saint, hence possessive ownership is implied through the use of an apostrophe. However, I note that in this case, the dedication to Holy Wisdom (in its various forms of Koine Greek, Latin, and transliteration) is non-possessive and, as a result, there should not be an apostrophe. I have restored the article as Saint Sophia Cathedral, Sydney. I have added the dedication to the infobox, which is crucial in understanding why an apostrophe does not apply. A redirect has been applied at Saint Sophia's Cathedral, Sydney. The WP:COMMONS article has not been changed, as it requires some work. I will get to that later. Cheers.
