Dispute over Shabnama vs. Shabnameh[edit]

Another editor, rather than change the article title, modified the article to basically say "shabnama actually means 'luminous' in Persian, and is a also a misspelling of shabnameh." First off, Wikipedia is not a dictionary of Persian, so it's immaterial what Persian word a given spelling resembles. It's clear that there is a word, meaning "night letter", used in English to describe threatening letters sent in Iran and Afghanistan. I ran a Google Search, and it appears that shabnama is the more common spelling of this term in English. I realize that phonetically "shabnameh" or -e, -ey, etc. is closer to the Tehrani Persian pronunciation, but a lot of Tajiks definitely pronounce it with a rounder "a". And regardless, the only issue is what spelling is most commonly used by authoritative sources in English, and unless other evidence is presented, that spelling appears to be shabnama.
