Devi is not a last name in India. It is a honorific that is often added after the first name of a woman to address them in certain parts of North and Central India. It is somewhat similar to how the word "Lady" is used in English aristocratic circles before a lady's name, e.g. Lady Jane Grey.- Indian visitor to the page
