Stonham Aspal: changes of boundaries[edit]
A Vision of Britain through Time reports no boundary changes for the parish itself, but since 1937 the parish has been moved from one registration district to another three times:
- Bosmere Registration District 1837-1935
- Gipping Registration District 1937-1983
- Gipping and Hartismere Registration District 1983-2010
- Suffolk Registration District 2010 onward.
An analysis of the tables for Suffolk would show that this movement between registration districts was quite common in the county. It is also common in the rest of the country.
It should be remembered that A Vision of Britain through Time and GENUKI are often reporting details for ecclesiastical and civil parishes and not for the largest settlement (i.e., the village of the same name) within them. --Oldontarian (talk) 09:31, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
