Correct - he's not officially the Chief Minister until sworn in. Henderson and his old cabinet continue in their caretaker roles until that point. There will be a gazettal on that day saying that the Administrator has accepted the resignation of Henderson and cabinet, and has sworn in Mills and cabinet. (As a parallel example, the 2007 federal election was held on 24 November 2007, but Howard remained PM until 3 December, even though he'd lost his seat at the election.) 2020 NT leaders debate is an exception[edit]

Unlike other countries leaders debate has always consisted of two leaders that of Prime Minister/Premier/Chief Minister and the Opposition Leader.

The 2020 NT leaders debates is an exception to this as it had Chief Minister Michael Gunner, Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro and Territory Alliance leader Terry Mills.

Having three leaders in a debate hasn't happened before or since which is a fact that should be included in this article.

Also Steelkamp made a comment about the source I put did not support the statement I made.

The source was not about the 2020 NT leaders debate as it is from 2010 but about the lack of a third participant as stated in said article:

"Perhaps because any debates should contain a third leader"

This article was in context of the Greens and asked the question why they are not in the debates and the said article says this: "The usual reason is that they're not likely to form government."

It seems that Terry Mills as Territory Alliance leader was included in the 2020 NT leaders debate because it was thought probable that Territory Alliance could form government in the NT — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.3.72.79 (talk)

Do you not see the problem here? You are using a source from 2010 to verify something that happened in 2020. That makes no sense. You have not properly sourced the claim you are making. You need a source from after the leaders debate in 2020 which explicitly says this was the first time a leaders debate in Australia has had three participants. It is NOT a claim and I have already stated that it offends me greatly. If you keep talking to me like this then I do not wish to speak to you at all.

This problem only arises because of stalkerish edits made by Captainllama which you are giving credence.

The one problem I can see from you Steelkamp is that you are being inflexible on this. You know full well that is a fact not a claim.

The purpose of the sourced article is to establish that they are usually two leaders in an Australian debate. The 2020 NT leaders is only exception to this.

No I don't. I don't know the fully history of the 100+ leaders debates that have happened in Australia, so I can't say one way or another whether your claim is true or not. Regardless, your claim needs an actual source. Not a source from 10 years prior, which obviously can't verify something that happened 10 years later.
