Comment on voting[edit]

"His views on Catholic morality and voting have included the concept that voting for a pro-choice/Feminist/pro-LGBTQQ candidate is morally unacceptable."

Just a quick comment - it doesn't seem *quite* that cut-and-dried in his statements on this page, at least. I'm not sure where that comment came from since the article doesn't cite a source or if he's made further comments on the issue elsewhere.

I would especially like a source for "feminist". There are pro-life feminists, which I am sure he knows. --142.163.195.111 (talk) 21:21, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tweet Regarding Pride Month / Balanced Article[edit]

It seems Tobin's views regarding the balance between the Catholic Church's teachings and those who hold differing beliefs, particularly the conservative vs. progressive movements is the primary reason for the entry's existence, not simply a general BLP, but as a resource for readers looking to understand information about that living person.

A fair and balanced article to Wikipedia should include equal weight to the subject's pros/cons, consensus and controversy, including citations.

My concern is the current Tobin article diminishes the way a reader will consume the information. It requires expansion on how his views align both within and outside the Church.

Therefore, editing suggestions are welcomed to give balance or comments on why something is not balanced and/or inflammatory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.142.8.218 (talk) 02:44, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
